I’m a cryer. Laughing so hard cry. Watching a sad movie “Beaches” cry. Because I’m pregnant cry. The groom is crying cry. Did I mention because I’m pregnant cry?
Man these past 7 months I cried to everything from watching NCIS to watching a simple TV commercial (picture Dumb and Dumber when Lloyd and Harry cried to the phone commercial, using cash as tissues)
Well this time I had such a nice review from one of my clients! I love testimonials, but this one was just so sweet!! To know that I made someone this happy had me really LOVE and APPRECIATE what I do.
She asked not to post their photos online or mention her name, and I respect that so I’ll just call her Lady J.
“We were looking for someone to shoot a casual and intimate backyard vow renewal ceremony and although we were finding nice images on Pinterest and Facebook it was difficult to find a photographer that we felt we could work with. Many photographers offered a variety of packages for weddings but weren’t helpful with creating something unique to our quiet vow renewal. We were happy to find that Pinky was so flexible and willing to tailor her offerings for big weddings to meet our unique needs.
As we were planning our vow renewal from thousands of miles away in New York City it was becoming frustrating during our search for vendors to fall in love with pictures and reach out to the photographer only to find that he or she wasn’t interested in shooting a small quiet ceremony. We felt so fortunate when we found Pinky because not only is her work was amazingly beautiful, she immediately explained how she could help us achieve exactly what we were hoping for with our photographs and she seemed to understand exactly what we wanted. We had already done a big crazy wedding and didn’t want anything too over the top this time around. The fact that PInky “got it” was such a relief.
When Pinky arrived to the house that we were renting my husband was in the shower and I was in my bathrobe finishing up my makeup. Pinky didn’t miss a step; she set down her gear and got right to work photographing my dress and jewelry. When she picked up a pineapple that we had bought the day before at a farmer’s market and started incorporating it into some amazing photos of the gold rings that we had found for $7 at a art fair that morning I knew we had made the perfect choice for our day. She was so sweet to both my husband and me, coaching us through some poses (because we are completely awkward) and making us feel at ease. She gave just the right amount of directions, both to us and our kahu, and she gently reminded us about things like time and the sunset (which is exactly what you need in a photographer because seldom does a couple have the minutes of the day in mind when they are so focused on being in love). She helped me find a place to stand during our ceremony so that my hair wasn’t all over the place from the wind and her easygoing disposition set a great tone for the whole experience.
My experience with you was exceptional! The details that you came up with totally blow me away. I am in awe of your artistic abilities and the things that you see and then capture with your camera so that the rest of us can see too.
I know I carried on and on about how special and important this day was going to be for us and you let me bend your e-mail ear and couldn’t have been sweeter about it. I loved your work from the second I saw your website and blog but it was your personality and the ease with which the planning part went with you that made me feel so fortunate that we had you provide our photos for us. Thank you a million billion times!!!!”
