Bridal Tips Series-Wedding photography FAQ

There are many questions that a bride and groom will have before the wedding, it can get so overwhelming! I compiled a list of the top 5 questions a normally get from a bride and groom to help you get started when searching for a wedding photographer! Hope these help!

1. Will you be the photographer that will be shooting my wedding that day? If not, who will be taking my photos that day?

-Yes I am! I only book 1 full wedding a day, and this ensures that I can focus on being your photographer and not have other weddings to worry about. Each wedding is special to me and I take pride in being the main photographer. Depending on the size of the photo package, there may be an assistant photographer that works along with me.

2. Do you have backup equipment?

-Yes! For my backup equipment, I have an additional camera with me and multiple lens. My 2nd photographer will also have 1 or 2 cameras as well.

3. Is it okay if other guests take photos while you’re taking photos?

– For sure! We know that family and friends are excited to share this day with you and are welcome to take photos as well. I do ask for guests not to get in the way, or to distract me while I’m setting up and taking shots. This is so I don’t miss an opportunity for a photo, and also to make sure that there are no distractions such as an Ipad or multiple phones while the bride is walking down the aisle. There are many times when a guest will stand up and walk into the aisle with their big iPad up to get a shot of the bride, and it just ruins the whole background for the professional photographer!

4. What time will you arrive at the site and for how long will you shoot?

– I usually arrive 30 minutes before the event to set up and scout the area, figure out where things are and gather ideas for portraits, etc. I also use this extra time to talk to the bride and coordinator to see if there are any changes going on. As for how long- that depends on which photo package you choose and what time you need us to start.

5. Can I customize a package based on my needs?

-Yes! I know that everyone has different tastes and if you need to customize a package, we can work things out to suit what you need!
