We know that these are some uncertain times in the world right now. You may have lost your job, had to cancel your wedding, worry about the Covid19 virus going around. So many of us have to stay at home or self quarantine. I hope that during these troubled times, you make sure that you are taking care of yourself! I wanted to write a blog post to hopefully help with some ideas to stay grounded and positive! We are all in this together.
- Have a Zoom party. Its hard to practice social distancing when you miss your friends. Host a virtual hangout to keep in touch with your friends and loved ones.
- Shop your closet. I am in need of some serious retail therapy right now, but with the stores closed and online shipping taking forever, it seems impossible. Why not go through your own closet and find new ways to wear outfits? You may be surprised with what you can come up with!
- Learn a new skill. With online classes through Skillshare or Masterclass, the world is your oyster. You can learn anything from drawing to hand lettering, cooking or photography.
- Give back. If you have a lot of time on your hands, why not find a way to help others? If you can sew, maybe make some masks to send to hospitals. Or you can offer to tutor online a child that is struggling amid the school closures. See if your neighbors need anything during this isolation.
- Let it out and cry. Its ok to feel lost and lonely. Its ok to feel angry and frustrated with everything going on right now. Its ok to let out your emotions and feelings. I’m right there with you.
- Take a walk. Get some fresh air and vitamin D, and take a leisurely stroll around your neighborhood. Just being outside for a little bit can make a big difference in your mood.
