Bridal Questionnaire- FAQ

There are many questions that come across a couple’s mind when beginning to plan their wedding.  To make things easier, here are some FAQ and answers to help you on your way!  As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if there is any more questions I can help you with!

  • How much of a deposit do you require and when is it due?  Do you offer a payment plan? 50% of the package is due to confirm your wedding date. The balance is due 30 days before your wedding day. We can set up a payment plan in between that if needed.
  • Do you have backup plan if you are unable to shoot my wedding for some reason?   We all know that life can be unexpected at times.   I’ve worked weddings while I was sick or had a migraine.  I’ve even worked a wedding a week before I was due to give birth!  I try as much as possible to be there, but if there is an emergency and I absolutely cannot be at your wedding, then I will definitely have someone that I trust to be there to cover your wedding.
  • Do you provide retouching, color adjustment or other corrective services? I do basic retouching, color retouching, cropping, and some blemish removal. Any additional retouching (removing a background, switching people, facial retouching on every photo) requires an additional fee. My photos are more natural so it’s ‘you’ on your wedding day, and not something that almost looks fake or overly edited.
  • Can you edit with a dark and moody look?  Although there is currently a popular trend for a darker, browner, and moody look to photos, my style has always been about a bright and colorful, clean edit.  I prefer to keep the natural tones and colors in a photograph to keep it looking classic and timeless.
  • How long after the wedding will I get the proofs? Will they be viewable online? On a CD? Your photos will be up on a gallery at 6 weeks or earlier. You can share them with friends and family. You yourself will be able to download your photos from there as well. I will also mail you the digital files on USB as a backup.
  • Will you give me the negatives or the digital images, and is there a fee for that? I include all the usable photos that we photograph. I take out the test shots, blinks, exact duplicates, etc. No original negatives or RAW files will be included. The reason being is that they are an Unfinished Product. Clients hire me based on portfolio and finished work. Editing images is part of the process, and is a major factor in the process of creating a final image. This is also for brand protection.
  • What type of album designs do you offer? Do you provide any assistance in creating an album? We love seeing your wedding photos displayed in a gorgeous wedding album!  I design the album spreads in a way that best enhances the story your your special day. I will upload the draft of the spreads to a gallery and you will be able to view and approve or make specific changes. Changes can be made by communicating together as to what photos prefer taken out and which photos you would rather include instead, by photo numbers. You can make changes twice.  To see an example of a wedding album I’ve designed, click here.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my FAQ!  Hope this helps you on your wedding planning!
