Little Wedding Day Tips

Going into 5 months into quarantine and it’s been tough.  Most of my weddings have been rescheduled which is great!  I just hope we’ll be in the clear in the new year.  *praying*

I do still think of wedding tips for you all.  Here are little ones for you for when we can get back to full day weddings again:

– Have several undershirts for the groom, especially when it’s hot.  During the summer here, it gets so humid that during photos you can see the sweat through the groom’s dress shirt.  So have 3 undershirts ready to change out of, one for first look, one for ceremony then reception if needed.

– Wear a veil!  If it’s for you.  I love how beautiful and traditional it is and it makes for stunning photos!

– Assign a family member for group photos after ceremony so it goes by quicker and have time for more bridal party photos.  After the ceremony,  family and group photos is usually scheduled since everyone is there…..BUT people go all over the place.  Mostly straight to cocktail hour.   I have no idea who the names on paper are and I’ve had times where we’re looking all over the place for a family member and it takes up a lot of time.  With a family member who knows everyone, they can point them out and have them ready for the next shot.

– Open bridal party gifts after bridal party is dressed or if you’re in one of those matching robes.

– Get matching robes for your bridal party.  They’re not required, but they make for an extra special touch when you’re all gathered together before you’re formally dressed.

– Test out zippers and hooks before wedding day. Mostly overlooked and sooo important!  I came across a bride who’s dress zipper was broken!  Everyone scrambled on how to fix it and had to push the timeline back.  It worked out but still, talk about anxiety!
