On today’s post in our Bridal Tips Series, we are talking about things to avoid before the wedding day. I’m sure that there are a few brides out there has a horror story or 2 about unfortunate disasters that came their way, and we are here to help make sure nothing like that happens to you! So read on for 5 tips to avoid in the weeks before your big day.
- Big beauty procedures. Anything like a major haircut or color, real or spray tans, or even surgical procedures should be avoided. Naturally, we all want to look our very best on our wedding day. But please don’t do anything that will alter your look in a different way. You may come to regret that change and not be able to fix it in time.
- Anything that will make you sick. The worst thing on your wedding day is having a stomach bug or not wanting to get out of bed at all! So please, avoid getting crazy drunk the night before, or eating anything that your are not used to. Make sure to keep hydrated and healthy! Stay away from anybody that is sick.
- Major wedding changes. The weeks leading up to a wedding is not the time to decide that you want a different wedding gown or change the flowers or venue that you have chosen. These things should be set and ready to go, and it will save a lot of time and stress from having to change things around.
- Going on a big diet. Not only is it unhealthy to lose weight drastically, but it will also cause sallow skin, headaches, and emotional stress. If you must lose weight before the wedding, do so in a safe and timely matter. And don’t restrict yourself from enjoying your wedding cake!
- Epic Adventures in the days before the wedding. In Hawaii, there are so many fun, adventurous things to do, such as helicopter rides, deep sea fishing, and skydiving. While I’m not saying to not do them, but try not to do it the day or 2 before your wedding- you might end up getting sea or air sick or just feeling out of sorts from it all!
We hope that these tips will help you as a bride (and groom!) Remember, these are just some fun guidelines to help you along the way. Happy Wedding Day!
