Hey everybody! I hope you were all able to catch my post a few weeks ago on fun things to do before your wedding. If you didn’t, click this link to check it out! Now we are going in the opposite direction and listing a few things to avoid before you walk down the aisle! Hope these tips help you all to avoid potentional mishaps!
- Getting a facial. We all love a good relaxing facial, but to avoid any adverse reactions or breakouts make sure not to get one right before the wedding day! Get it at least a week or more ahead to give your skin time to heal.
- Along the same lines, try not to use new face products like cleanser or moisturizer. I remember once I had a groom break out in hives the day of the wedding because he used hotel soap.
- A new hairdo. Getting your hair chopped off or trying a new style is fun but you may regret it if you aren’t happy with the new look.
- Dying your hair. A friend of mine was getting married and for some reason, her father in law decided to dye his hair with a box dye, and then went to the hotel pool. He had never dyed his hair before, so he didn’t know. His hair turned bright orange! She laughs about it now but she was mortified because nobody recognized him in all their wedding pictures!
- Getting drunk the night before. Let’s face it, nobody wants to be hung over while getting ready for their big day. You feel terrible, your face looks dehydrated, and it’s just not fun.
- Tanning. We all love a healthy glow but try to get your tan a few days before hand. Whether its by the sun or tanning bed or lotion, get your tan a few days before to make sure you don’t look too red or burnt or have a skin reaction.
- Eating something new or unfamiliar. There’s always a risk of a new food not agreeing with your stomach or worse, getting food poisoning! Especially if you are traveling for the wedding and are tempted with new cultures and food- right before the wedding is not the time to try oysters for the first time.
