Bridal Tips Series- What to bring in your bag

Brides don’t usually carry a purse or bag on their wedding day, but it’s always a good idea to have a few emergency essentials for touchups, headaches, etc.  Carrying it all in a cute little tote bag and having it close by will guarantee you a stress free day for those just in case moments!

Here are just a few suggestions to carry along with you!

  1.  Tylenol or other type of pain reliever.  With all the stress and running around somebody is bound to have a headache.  Don’t let one ruin your day!
  2. Lipgloss or Lipstick for touchups.  It goes without saying that you will need a quick swipe of lip color especially after the first kiss!  Nude or glossy lips always look fresh and pretty on a bride.
  3. Tissues or handkerchief- No bride wants to wipe her eyes with her hands or dress!  Be prepared with a custom pretty handkerchief or some tissues for any tearjerker moments.
  4. Breath mints or breath spray- Your new hubby will thank you!
  5. Bobby pins, miniature size hair spray, and comb- to tame any flyaways or fix any stray hairs!
  6. Fabric tape- you definitely don’t want to have a wardrobe malfunction on your wedding day!
  7. Face mist-  I’m a huge fan of face mists- they keep your skin hydrated and glowing!  This one from The Face Shop feels so nice and refreshing!
  8. Blot powder or blotting papers- to keep oily skin at bay!  I love these blotting papers by NYX.
  9. Toothpicks or dental floss pick.  We don’t want anything to damper that stunning smile.
  10. Snack- a small granola bar something similar in case you get hungry before the reception.  A lot of brides forget to eat, and then that makes them hangry with a headache.

I know this list seems like a lot, but it can all fit in a cute little makeup clutch or pouch!  My friend Alisa at Joy Within Hawaii makes super cute, custom bags from photos she has taken.  You can also check out her IG @joywithinhawaii for updates on her products!
